11. July 2010: Spotlight on Total Solar Eclipse in Polynesia!

There was a meeting yesterday in Tahiti to inform locals and visitors about the observation of the total solar eclipse that will happen on July 11th 2010.
The eclipse will last more than 4 minutes and will be total for some atolls of the Tuamotus archipelago and it is at the atoll of Hao that it will be the longest!
Almost 5500 fans are expected
This phenomenon is of great interest for the scientific community and eclipse watchers who will benefit from very favorable conditions to observe the event.
Specific amenities will be in place to welcome visitors to the atolls and cruise ships will also navigate within the observation area.
On July 11th 2010, French Polynesia will be the best place on earth to admire the sky…
